Shakuhachi’s Spring/Summer collection ‘The young ones’ will take you on a wild journey through time and leave you somewhere between the swinging sixties and the realm of the future.  An innovative blend of aesthetics from a variety of eras makes for yet another genius assembly of must have Spring pieces. The range received enormous recognition after it’s showcasing at MBFW and has subsequently received significant press coverage. A creative fusion of unlikely influences including Barbarella, structured silhouettes, and space age couture with the juxtaposition of soft metallic pastels and animal prints explores the ‘retro/modern’ concept from an original perspective. Still riding the wave from last Seasons unprecedented 'neoprene' trend, Maurie & Eve have delivered a strong Spring collection with key pieces constructed from this versatile fabric. The thick bonded cotton gives garments durability whilst visible seams create structure. Small details such as contrasting chunky zips replicate the 'scuba' style generally associated with neoprene, though the monochrome colour palette keeps pieces more stylish than surf- think drop hemlines with peplum skirts!
